Why my services?

I am fully insured, DBS cleared and qualified in Dog walking, Pet sitting, New dog & puppy training and have studied a wide variety of enrichment games and experiences to ensure that Dogs can be really mentally stimulated rather than just being walked which only activates a portion of their brain. Alongside this I have private access to a secure field that I have designed and set up myself for the dogs so this means I provide a unique experience of walking compared to other dog walkers out there, getting the most out of the time with your pup!

so what does that mean? I will walk your dogs in local forest areas or in the secure field providing them with not only a standard walk that others provide, but with a real enrichment experience using games and tools to get them really thinking, searching, using their noses and working their brain as much as possible so your dog will come home more exhausted than if they just went for a run! The added bonus is that I studied Photography therefore will take pride in the photos I take of your gorgeous pets!

I have over 15 years experience with animals of all types from multiple dog breeds including working dogs, cats, poultry, reptiles, domestic animals and more, I have been in the position many times where I have needed to put my trust in others to look after my pets so I fully appreciate and understand how it feels and this reflects in the care I provide for animals!

All services can be tailored to meet your dogs needs with appropriate groups only being formed to ensure they get the most out of each experience with me!

Get to Know Me

I had a successful career in the insurance industry which led to long hours with not much work life balance and in truth, I really didn't want to be doing it! Since I was a little girl I have always had and cherished all animals from Dogs, Rats, Cats, Hamsters, Budgies, Parrots, Ducks and more, and as a teenager I decided that one day I would start my own pet business, so finally in 2020 after the years of working in offices I finally took the plunge and Avalon's Animal Care began!

I am accredited in Dog walking & pet sitting, along with dog and new puppy training to be able to support with the day to day role and I am also studying towards gaining a BA hons in Canine behaviour!

I love all types of animals with their unique personalities, excitement and genuine love and affection! I spend a lot of time looking after dogs for family and friends so often have quite the pack around me!! I currently have 3 dogs (Frank, Penny & Toby) and 2 cats (Barney and Travis) all living in harmony and they are all very active and I'm sure appreciate the Forest life!
